New GHS for Classification of Chemical Drum Labels

Chemical-Drums

In 2003, the United Nations (UN) adopted the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. The GHS includes criteria for the classification of health, physical and environmental hazards, as well as specifying what information should be included on labels of hazardous chemicals as well as safety data sheets (SDS). Tapecon is proud to announce that we have the capabilities to print the new standardized chemical drum labels in preparation for the December 1, 2015 implementation deadline.

GHS is a standardized approach in order to provide compliance of rules and regulations on chemicals.  With this standardized system, trade will become easier as companies will be producing consistent chemical drum labels or SDS with uniform information explaining what chemicals are hazardous and how each chemical should be treated.

This is the best time for chemical manufacturers to ensure that their products are properly being labeled in compliance with the new GHS standard.  Contact Tapecon to learn more about labeling your chemical storage containers. Tapecon will provide a robust label that can withstand the harsh conditions your chemical storage containers come in contact with.
