Work-Life Matters

Personal and family problems can impact an employee’s performance at work. For situations like this, Tapecon offers an Employee Assistance Program.

The program is called Work-Life Matters and is made available by Guardian, Tapecon’s life and dental insurance provider. Work-Life Matters is a confidential support service designed to help employees with issues that affect their lives.

The program is utilized by calling a toll-free number, which connects the caller to a professional counselor who can provide confidential assistance on a wide variety of issues. The counselors offer support through unlimited telephone consultation, scheduling in-person appointments, or providing help in developing an action plan.  Some of the most common topics include parenting, care giving, legal problems, career and education planning, depression, anxiety, or substance abuse.
