What is a RFID Tag/Inlay?
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags or inlays are passive antennas with an attached chip that holds alpha & numerical memory.
Frequency:
- HF (13.56 Mhz) – short read distance 0 to 12”
- UHF (900-920 Mhz) – longer read distance 1’ to 20’
Types of Inlays:
- Class 0 – Read Only
- Class 0+/1 Gen 1 – Read/Write
- Gen 2 – Read/Write
Uses of RFID (UltraHighFrequency):
