Commercial Digital Printing
Tapecon is recognized as an industry-leading digital printing company. The technologies we utilize allow us to offer our customers high quality, short to medium run products including labels, decals, and membrane switch overlays with quick turnaround times. Cost savings are achieved by eliminating films, plates, screens, and traditional material waste.
Our digital printing technologies allow us to produce goods with custom numbering, barcodes, security features, and even fully variable images. These systems can be integrated with our digital finishing technologies, thus eliminating the need for tooling.
Roll & Sheet Electrophotography
The Xeikon 3300’s dry toner electrophotography process ensures digital print quality that is simply unmatched by the competition. The state-of-the-art Xeikon allows for maximum speed printing with variable repeat lengths and labels of different sizes and formats in the same run. Regardless of the number of colors required to complete the job, print speed will not be affected.
This digital printing process boasts a number of environmentally friendly benefits. There are significantly less raw materials used in the process thanks to vastly reduced makeready time, especially when compared to flexographic or screen printing. The electrophotographic process eliminates water pollution, saves energy, and makes paper recycling easy.
Roll & Sheet Inkjet
The ability to print on materials that are up to 64 inches wide means that there is virtually no challenge too large. Using the Mutoh ValueJet 1608 system, Tapecon is able to print window, vehicle, and floor graphics as well as signs, membrane switch overlays, prototypes, and point-of-purchase materials, among other applications.
The Mutoh ValueJet’s ink system offers an environmentally friendly printing option by providing vibrant four-color process printing and is made of over 60% bio-based content.
Roll & Sheet Thermal Transfer
Thermal transfer is a digital printing technology commonly used to print unique images and alphanumeric characters with high resolution and excellent image durability. In thermal transfer printing, the printer, ribbon, and substrate work together as a system. The technology is quite simple and works by melting ink from the ribbon onto the receiver or substrate.
Thermal transfer printing is reliable, low maintenance, durable, and can be applied in a wide range of on-demand printing applications.
Signs & Point Of Purchase
Thanks to Tapecon’s versatile Mutoh ValueJet wide-format inkjet printer, we are able to print stunning pieces that are certain to draw attention. The vibrant, eco-friendly, four-color process prints on surfaces up to 64 inches wide. The ink system is made of over 60% bio-based materials and contains no hazardous air pollutants or heavy metals.
When combined with the Graphtec flatbed cutting plotter, Tapecon’s digital thermal transfer print system, and large format laminator, the results are limited only by imagination.
Brand Protection Printing
In today’s world, just about every product on the market is subject to counterfeiting. However, here are ways to alleviate the problem thanks to new techniques in digital printing. Microtexts, hidden images, guilloches, and a number of other options allow Tapecon to help you deter counterfeiters.
