We are thrilled to announce that Tapecon Inc. has been honored as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Buffalo District Family-Owned Small Business of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes the exceptional contributions of our entire team and the remarkable achievements of our family-owned business.
Founded in 1919, Tapecon Inc. has evolved through five generations of the Davis family into a specialized contract manufacturer of advanced printed and converted products. With over 100 employees and 90,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Tapecon has demonstrated its ability to adapt and thrive in a changing industrial and economic landscape, while maintaining its roots in Buffalo’s rich manufacturing history.
Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which celebrates the critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, creating about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year. As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration highlights the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners from all 50 states, including U.S. territories.
National Small Business Week serves as a reminder of the vital role that small businesses play in the American economy. It provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work, innovation, and dedication of small business owners who drive economic growth, create jobs, and contribute to their communities. The week-long celebration includes various events, such as awards ceremonies, educational sessions, and community activities, all aimed at supporting and empowering small businesses across the nation.
