As a part of our core value Learning is a Lifestyle, Tapecon will be participating in SUNY ECC Community College Workforce Development Training program. We will be working with ECC to provide our employees with various forms of training as it directly relates to our workforce development initiative.
Workforce development training will help enhance the skills of our existing employees, to help create pathways for more opportunities. Training is essential to job retention within the industry. This training will improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in our workplace.
At Tapecon, we are starting our workforce development training with Shop Math and Blueprint Reading. Our employees will be attending multiple training sessions, during their shifts, based upon their work schedules.
This specific program will help to build a stronger relationship between our business and the local community college, by working together to develop transferable skills through training programs for our employees. We are looking forward to working with SUNY ECC to bring additional workforce development training programs to our employees which will help to widen their manufacturing skill sets and enhance their career opportunities.
