- Low smoke emission – When exposed to fire, flame-retardant adhesives produce minimal smoke that could be harmful if inhaled.
- Non-toxic – If a flame-retardant adhesive is heated beyond its decomposition temperature, it will not release toxic by-products such as halogenated compounds.
